The influence of temperature on the rate of liquid−liquid extraction was investigated, using single drop experiments for a range of drop sizes, while temperature was adjusted within 15−40 °C.The recommended chemical system of cumene−isobutyric acid−water was employed and solute concentration was analyzed with simple titration method. An extraction column was used to introduce the drops into the aqueous phase. Results have demonstrated the impact of temperature on the mass transfer performance giving a significant increasing in the rate of mass transfer with increasing temperature. The mass transfer of extraction effeciency is the most influenced term in this regard. The variation of physical properties was taken into account in calculations
