In the present study synthesis of nanostructured SAPO-34 fine particles was carried out by sol-gel
hydrothermal method and the influence of two influential factors that are rarely considered in
recent researches are considered and examined to achieve smaller, more uniform and higher phase
purity of SAPO-34 particles. It is concluded that external agitation against internal stirring of the
gel mixture during hydrothermal process caused more thermal distribution of the gel mixture and
improved the size uniformity and phase purity of the synthesized SAPO-34 with finer size of the
particles. Also Application of TEAOH as the single template produced finer and more unform
particles than using mixed template of TEAOH and morpholine. Finally among the produced
samples, the gel mixture with molar composition of Al2O3: 0.6 SiO2: 1 P2O5: 1.8 TEAOH: 0.4
morpholine: 75 H2O and external agitation method produced sufficiently fine SAPO-34 with
narrow particle size distribution.
