Abstract—Localization of an illegal transmitter is the aim of many military and commercial applications. Localization of the transmitter using multiple sensors and deferent types of measurements is investigated in the articles. Localization algorithms use time-delay, signal strength, and angle of the received signal. In this paper, we investigate the sensitivity of localization accuracy using time difference of arrival, angle of arrival, and combining of them to sensors and the target geometry by simplified Cramer Rao Lower Band. The method that combined measurements is compared with methods that use a single of measurements in terms of localization error and sensitivity to sensors and target placements. The results show degradation of TDOA-based approach and AOA-based approach along sensor's lines. The joint method benefits from the advantages of the sub-measurement methods, has fewer disadvantages, and provides higher accuracy with a better range
