Bis(indeneyl)zirconium dichloride, (Ind)2ZrCl2, catalyst was synthesized and used for
copolymerization of ethylene and propylene (EPR) and, terpolymerization of ethylene
propylene and 5-ethyldiene-2-norbornene (ENB). Methylaluminoxane (MAO) was used
as cocatalyst. Activity of The catalyst was higher for the copolymerization of ethylene
and propylene (EPR) than ethylene propylene and diene monomer terpolymeization
(EPDM). The effect of [Al]/[Zr] ratio, temperature, relative pressure of E/P and the ENB
concentration on the polymerization behavior were studied.
