In this work spatial distribution of rock permeability in one of the Iranian south western multi-layer
carbonate oil reservoirs is studied using geostatistical techniques. Input data were obtained from welltesting
outputs. To do this, transient pressure data from 28 wells in this reservoir were interpreted and
permeability at different locations within the reservoir was determined. Using these data, high
permeability layers were identified. Then to estimate spatial distribution of rock permeability all around
the reservoir, Kriging techniques were applied and iso-permeability curves were generated. Main
geostatitcal results will be discussed in paper in details.
