Effect of Some Kinetic Inhibitors on Hydrogen Sulfide Hydrate Induction Time

In this study the effect of adding different concentrations of kinetic inhibitors on the induction time of hydrogen sulfide hydrate formation in a reactor with automatic adjustable temperature has been studied. H2S gas exist in oil and gas industries and also in atomic industries. In experiments with a new method called sudden cooling, induction time of H2S gas hydrate is determined an then using PVP and L-Tyrosine kinetic inhibitors in different concentration, the induction time compared with no inhibitor condition. PVP was detected a suitable material for increasing the induction time of H2S hydrate formation.
