In this paper, first, a physical model for a CdZnS / CdTe thin film solar cell with a
ZnTe electron reflection layer is proposed, and then a new cell with the structure
Cd .Zn.S/Cd
ZnS/CdTe proposed for better performance. In this study, the
effect of the thickness of the Cd
ZnS buffer layer and also, the effect of zn
concentration in Cd
ZnS buffer layer on cell performance, analyzed. The results of
our study show that optimum Cd
ZnS buffer layer thickness for Cd
ZnS buffer
layer is 70 nanometer and optimal Zn concentration in this layer is 90%. Finally, an
optimized CdTe solar cell Cd.Zn.S/Cd.
Zn.)S/CdTe with performance
parameters Voc=0.956 v, J=25.46 mA⁄cm!, ff=75.26%, Ƞ=16.28% has been
designed.
