Condition monitoring is a valuable preventative maintenance tool to extend the operating life of a machine. Vibration monitoring is the most widely used technique in industry today. Hidden and unwanted growth of defects such as cracks in a structure or rotary machine can cause a failure associated with High and irreparable damage . In recent years, many studies has been conducted in the field of diagnostics. Roller chain and sprocket is a rotary system of machine that is used to power transmission by tensile forces. Today, roller chains and sprocket are used extensively in different fields of engineering sciences such as mechanical, civil, aerospace, So dynamic study of roller chains and sprocket for optimum performance in vibration environments is useful and necessary. In this study, an experimental model and simulation of intact and faulty roller chain and sprocket have been done and compared with each other, based on the methods of fault detection and diagnostics.
