This study attempts to find out the relationship between language attitude and success in reading comprehension of Kurdish students at Farhangian University in Sanandaj. First, an attitude test consisting of 10 items based on Likert Scale was made, and then it was piloted. After that, the two reading comprehension tests containing 6 items each, which were made by the TOFEL Team, were selected. These two tests along with the first one were administered to a group of 30 students whose major course was English and they were in their third semester of studying English. The data were given to the SPSS software. The results of the tests showed that there was a significant relationship between positive and negative attitudes concerning the amount of success or failure in language learning. Thus, it is suggested that teachers pay more attention to rapport and morality in class in order to change the students probable hostility toward the people of the target language; and moreover, to arouse the learners interests and friendship which culminate in positive motivation that is the major cause of success.
