The effect of low concentrations of tetra n-butylammonium chloride (TBAC) on the storage capacity of methane is investigate, in this communication. The tests were performed at a temperature of 278.15 K and pressures of 6.5 MPa and 8 mPa in a 169 cm3 stirred batch reactor. Our results show that utilization of low concentrations of TBAC (3 wt% and 5 wt%) increase the storage capacity of methane hydrate formation, at both tested pressures
