Each of wireless sensor networks with the purpose of the data collection around itself has a large number of sensor nodes with limited energy that has been dispersed in a geographic area. In these networks, energy is one of the main resources that must be used optimally. Clustering and how to transmit data to the base station are the major way to reduce energy consumption. In this study, we introduce Effective protocol for load balancing and reduce energy consumption in the network. In the first stage of the proposed method, cluster heads and the heads of each area are characterized. Then at a later stage, the head of each region are grouped by using the k-means algorithm, then for collecting the data, sink runs the shortest path that passes through the center of categories. The simulation results show that this method has made improvement in the reduction of energy consumption.
