With the increasing tendency towards cloud computing and cloud-based applications, data centers have proliferated in terms of size and number, sequences of which are increase in energy costs, operating costs and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Considering that cloud environment is dynamic, it is the need to dynamic solutions in order to control power and energy consumption in these environments. One of the techniques to reducing use of computing physical machines power is dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) technique. DVFS technique dynamically reduces the power according to the current state of physical machine which this is effective in minimum use of energy. This paper reviews of approaches that reduce dynamic power consumption of processors via the DVFS technique
