The impacts of different concentrations of ZnO nano particles on seed germination and seedling growth of Festuca ovina were studied in a randomized completely design with three replications in the College of Agriculture, University of Tehran, campus of Aburaihan, Iran, in 2018. The experimental treatments included three concentrations of ZnO nano particles (0, 20and 60 mg/L), three concentrations of NaCl (0, 50, 100 mM). The results showed that the effects of ZnO nano particles are significant for DW, FSW and RL. The effect of salinity and ZnO× salinity were significant for all of the evaluated traits. The maximum FW, DW and FSW were recorded for Zno 20 mg/l+ H2O and Zno 60mg/lc+ H2O. It seems that ZnO nanoparticles can increase the means of these traits in normal condition but in salinity stress ZnO could not be compensate the harmful effects of NaCl. Employing ZnO nanoparticles in suitable concentration could promote the seed germination of Festuca ovina. These findings could further be used for agricultural applications, to enhance the seed germination and improve the overall yield.
