Here we represent green and efficient synthesis of NiFe2O4 nanoparticles (NPs) by Heracleum rawanium fruit extract as non-toxic reducing agent and stabilizer without adding any surfactant. The extraction of fruit of this plant with water is described by maceration. The natural products found in plants have an important role in synthesis of nanoparticles [1,2]. FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) have been used in the characterization of the nanoparticles thus prepared. The results showing that MNPs synthesized by H.rawanium extract have high purity and the average particle size is 33 nm. In addition, Nickel ferrite nanoparticles as an efficient catalyst were used for the synthesis of pyrimidinone derivatives via multi-component reactions under solvent-free conditions at 80 °C. This method have several advantages such as short reaction time, excellent products yields (86-94), simple work and use of recoverable catalyst.
