In this paper the nanocomposite was successfully synthesized by reaction of Silicotungstic acid (H4SiW12O40), titanium dioxide (TiO2) and chitosan (CS) at room temperature under sonication condition. A new compound, H4SiW12O40@TiO2@CS, has been prepared as an efficient and green catalyst for the removal of cationic dyes such as methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution. The incorporation of the materials was confirmed by SEM, XRD and FT-IR spectroscopy. Results obtained indicate that H4SiW12O40@TiO2@CS could be employed as an efficient catalyst much more than the pure H4SiW12O40, CS and TiO2 powders for decolorization from water.
