This study investigated how EFL learners emotionally react as a result of oral corrective feedback. Inspired by a similar study in a different condition, the aim of this research was to find to what extent the way the teacher provides the oral corrective feedback is effective on enhancing the positive effects and reducing the negative ones. The data were collected from 30 upper intermediate language learners using a questionnaire to find out their own attitudes towards oral corrective feedback .The questionnaires were distributed among learners and the obtained results revealed that the oral corrective feedback has rather negative effects on EFL learners’ emotions even those having a high language proficiency; the oral corrective feedback can contribute to lack of motivation and self-confidence. Thus, the paper issues warn about the affective damages that oral corrective feedback can cause among learners in classroom situations. Some pedagogical implications are discussed by highlighting the role of “careful oral corrective feedback on the part of language teacher” in EFL learning.
