    This paper presents a model for fluid-saturated composite porous beam with axial diffusion. Classical lamination theory is utilized to modify governing equations of a saturated poroelastic beam. Beam is dominated by axial diffusion by the virtue of material microgeometry. Derived equations are time dependent due to the nature of saturated porous material. In quasi-static case, equations are solved employing finite difference method. Time derivatives are handled using an implicit scheme that utilizes Crank-Nicolson method. Numerical results are compared with FEM simulations carried out by COMSOL Multiphysics and a good agreement is achieved. Finally, effects of different material properties are captured using Taguchi design of experiment.
