Reconsidering the integration of research, education and extension theory in agricultural development process

Given the eminent changes happened at the outset of the twentyfirst century in production and dissemination of practical knowledge and expansion of information and communication technology, it seems that extension shall be able to empower rural human resources supported by research and education centers. To this end, relying on usual surveys at library and field levels, again recommended to enrich and update extension service by relevant research bodies in order to render due inputs to the target beneficiaries. This study regards the foregoing objects and reconsiders the theory of integration of research, education and extension entities towards the agricultural development. This idea which initially founded during 70s but enforced in 90s led to the following peceptions: -Education in agriculture stands for the base of research and extension activities; -Research in agriculture shall pave the way for education and extension operations; and -Extension in agriculture would accompany and supplement education and research projects and acts as a two-way bridge between recipient of practical-scientific advices and developer of new executive and fiels spesific approaches.
