In this study, Na-ZSM-5 zeolite was used as a support for gold nanoparticles. Two catalysts were
prepared in order to compare the effect of iron on the activity of gold catalyst. In Au-Fe/ZSM-5 the support
charged in the aqueous solution of Fe(NO3)3,9H2O and calcined in air. Fe loaded zeolite or fresh calcined one
was directly charged into the chloroauric acid solution, which was pre-adjusted to pH=6. The solution was
prepared by dissolving pure gold in aqua regia. TEM study showed gold nanoparticles were much smaller in
iron containing catalyst. CO oxidation results showed that addition of iron improved catalyst activity.
