Zeolites from Bulgarian deposits with clinoptilolite mineral matter above 75 % were used as a food
supplements in forages for BALB/C mice. Conventional forage mixed with 12.5% clinoptilolite was offered
to the animals. To investigate the eventual toxic effect of clinoptilolite sorbent from Bulgarian deposits,
ecotoxicological experiment was providing. First results about changes in body weight and LD 50 are
present. The obtained results show that the clinoptilolite sorbent is practically non-toxic.
