One of the main interests in machining processes is getting to the utmost value of machining and thus the maximum production. For this one can increase depth of cut, cutting speed, and feed rate which consequently influence machining forces. To realize the optimum condition of machining, it is necessary to take machining forces into account. In this paper we are studying these forces on the specific tool for drilling a square hole, which is totally affected by its special geometry. We measure the force components along the coordinate system by means of a dynamometer. Different runs are executed according to a DOE Plan and subsequent statistical analyses are brought.
