The present study has been done to investigate the effect of the input parameters of wire-cut machine on the quality of the surface of the cut piece. For this purpose, three parameters are considered as variables; the stiffness of de-electric fluid, wire servo speed and the input frequency of the machine. Among these, the frequency changes on the surface quality of the cut piece are examined which are measured by the surface roughness average factor (Ra). This is a laboratory and experimental study and its useful samples of HSS (high speed steel) which are one of the most commonly used steel in industry. Regarding that the use of the wire-cut machine is increasing widely, the researchers of this study believed that the result of such studies can be used in industry. The primary results reveal that increase in frequency of the machine lead to increase in the cut piece surface roughness and also the decrease in the surface quality.
