In this work, a new hybrid method based on an offstep point has been obtained for the numerical solutions of Burgers equation. Order and stability analysis of the method is discussed showing that the order of introduced method is 6 together with wide stability region which is more important for solving stiff systems arising from semi-discretization of time dependent PDEs. Since the method is a solver of stiff initial value problems of ODEs, we semi-discretized the Burger equation in order to obtain IVPs form and then, the method is applied to solve it numerically. Numerical results for some different step numbers have been compared too.
