Conformal Einstein-type manifolds are known in the literature as conformal almost Yamabe
quasi solitons. Here the scalar curvature of a compact gradient almost Yamabe quasi soliton
is explicitly determined when its associated vector field is Killing and it is shown that if the
associated vector field of almost Yamabe quasi soliton is conformal, then it is Killing in some
case
