With the advent of fifth generation of telecommunication technology (or 5G), the future of media broadcasting has become a subject of discussion for main players of both industries. Addressing the necessity and the various possible methods of convergence between these two technologies sounds inescapable. This paper is to enlighten the subject by analyzing two most significant methods of convergence which are currently being progressing and working on at a global level: 5G tower overlay and 5G network slice. These two methods, in fact, are two different approaches of 5G broadcast deployments: Orchestrated 5G and Non-Orchestrated 5G. Afterwards a comparison between the two approaches including a benefit cost analysis is done and it is shown that the best approach for all parties involved can be orchestrated 5G deployment based on a partnership business arrangement
