Lexical knowledge and the ability to use this knowledge are considered significant factors in reading and listening comprehension, speaking and writing. Lexical knowledge is quite essential for successful communication. However, this importance has been neglected in some EFL classes. Consequently, this study intends to investigate the impact of loci method on learning lexical items in Iranian junior EFL classes. To this aim, 50 EFL female learners, at Oil Company Language and Computer Center of Ahvaz, Iran participated in the study. The ages ranged from 13 to 17. They were randomly divided into the experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught the lexical items through loci method and the control group was taught the lexical items in a traditional way. The study lasted two months. Ultimately, the participants in the experimental group had a much better performance on the posttest. The results of the study would help EFL teachers and learners choose better methods and techniques in language learning especially lexical items.
