The Impact of Political Linguistic Intentions and Power Relations on People Sense; Case Study of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Vienna, 14 July 2015

Joint comprehensive plan of Action, after10 years of negotiation, finally on 14 July 2015 has been announced. Iran and the P5+1/E3+3 powers (China, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdome and the United States, with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy) in Vienna, after long-term talks, have published an agreement regarding the Iranian peaceful nuclear program. The Iranian nuclear deal constitutes one of the most important post-Cold War diplomatic accords. This study aims at exploring the political discourse analysis, (PDA) aspect of the deal, while shedding light on its linguistic instruments details and its strategic, long-term implications to find distortions and mystifications, and also explain them with regard to their social and historical roots. It finds the agreement to be a robust yet imperfect diplomatic compromise that nonetheless represents a concrete step in the right direction, both for Iran and the international community.
