Neuro-Linguistic Programming has been used in language teaching for many years. Since NLP was first discovered, many other approaches have emerged from it. Such is the case of some elements of drama, music, and body language that are now integrated in second language teaching worldwide. On the other hand, tasks have been employed to help EFL learners learn English, especially its grammar. This study intended to compare the capability of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) in teaching English grammar. To this aim, 50 Iranian female EFL learners at the 10th grade at Shahed high school in Andimeshk took part in the study. Their ages ranged from 16 to 17. There were two experimental groups: one in which EFL learners were taught English grammar through tasks and the other through NLP. The study lasted three months. Finally, the results showed that both the experimental groups had almost the same progress in their grammar development. Such results can be of great contribution to Iranian language authorities to pay attention to the benefits of TBLT and NLP.
