The alcohol production process (cell separation) demands to dominate these challenges: increasing the productivity of alcohol fermentation, lowering the energy consumption for alcohol conversion and decreasing the environmental pollution caused by the alcoholic yeast fermentation process. It was found that the installation of very large number of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in to the colons of animals would result in both colonization and passage of the yeast in draining lymph nodes. It is necessary to separate and reuse at the end of a fermentation cycle for later use. The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is recovered and recycled, in the fermentation process of ethanol production, the separation of yeast with small hydrocyclone is remarkable in this regard. Hydrocyclone is a good alternative to centrifuge because it is easily sterilized and its maintenance cost is low.In this work a 15 mm diameter hydrocyclone was used to separate yeast from water. The granulated Saccharomaycescervisiae with a density of 1240 kg/cm3 and mass concentrations of 0.5%, 2.5%, 5% and three specified pressures (1, 2 and 3 bar) were separated. The results showed that for a range of capacities from 1.219 to 2.227 mlit/min, the total separation efficiencies were 78.54% and 83.95%. The reduced separation efficiencies and flow ratios increased from 0.74% to 5.26% and from 78% to 83.2%, respectively.
