The focus of this study is investigation of growth and lipid content of microalgae Chlorella sp. under modified spectrum of white light using Phycocyanin. For this purpose, a double layer flat panel photobioreactor was constructed. In one layer microalgae Chlorella sp. was cultivated and other layer was filled with Phycocyanin solution (main sample). The photobioreactor was placed under 490 μmol photons m−2s−1 at 27 ± 1°C for 9 days. Results showed that biomass concentration because of using Phycocyanin as a converter layer in the flat photobioreactor in early days was enhanced because of using Phycocyanin. But after 6th day of experiment biomass concentration for control sample was more than main one. Also, lipid content of main sample at last day was more than control one.
