چكيده فارسي :
از ويژگي هاي جدايي ناپذير تحول در شهرها، ارزش اقتصادي و نماديني است كه توسط صنايع فرهنگي به ارمغان آورده شده است. شهر و خصوصا بافت مركزي آن، به نوبه خود، به عنوان مجموعه اي از منابع فرهنگي عمل مي كنندكه عرصه هاي خلاقانه اي براي توليد و مصرف فرهنگي، زمينه هاي رقابت با هر يك ازديگري، افزايش جذابيت شهر در سرمايه گذاري بالقوه و بهبود تعامل با جوامع محلي و ايجاد مكان خاطره اي را فراهم مي كند. علاوه بر اين، توانايي اين بخش در رشد شهر مي تواند شاخص مهمي درظرفيت هاي نوآورانه بخش هاي ديگر شهر و اقتصاد گسترده آن در سطح منطقه اي و ملي باشد (Landry, 2006). شهرها مي توانند با تمركز اصلي خود در توسعه فعاليت هاي فرهنگي و صنايع خلاق از سرمايه هاي فرهنگي خود براي تاكيد بر كيفيت هاي رقابتي و تفاوت هاي ويژه مكاني خود بهره برداري كنند
