The necessity of copyright conservation become very essential in the internet environment. The watermarking presents a suitable approach for hiding the secure information through a system for the electronic devices such as digital camera, scanner, and printer. In many watermarking methods, the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is widely used since frequency component separation is very advantageous. A digital watermark can be embedded in host data in frequency domain as well as in spatial domain. Further, LU transform has low effect on the quality of the watermark. In this paper, a hybrid digital image watermarking method based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and (LU) decomposition method are proposed. At first, the host image is performed using a DWT. Then, the high frequency components are extracted from the wavelet domain, and the sub-image is performed with LU decomposition. Finally, the watermark image is embedded into the upper triangular matrix. While the LU-transform yields an output witch qualitatively similar to the those of the SVD and Eigen-transforms, it can be computed in faster speed. It is a much simpler algorithm and well-suited to implementation on parallel architectures. The evaluation measures such as Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error(MSE), Normalized Correlation (NC) and Structural Similarity (SSIM) are calculated. The achieved results on the datasets imply on the superiority of the proposed combinational method.
