Nano machine is the general term for a machine in size of one nanometer using MEMS Micro Electro Mechanical Systems technology. Nano machines are largely in the researchanddevelopment phase, but some primitive devices have been tested. Potential application is detection of toxic chemicals, and the measurement of their concentrations in the environment. Another application of these structures are drug delivery and cancer diagnosis. One of the most famous of Nano machine is Rotaxane. Rotaxanes are cyclic and dumbbell shape compounds which are interlocked and do their jobs with external stimulus such as redox, pH and etc. These types of machines are interlocked and are used in very small scale such as in cellular or between of cells in human badie. We wish to synthesis of a new dihydroxy crown used in preparation of these types of nanomachines. The synthesized dihydroxy crown is symmetric and this is good potantiol for structures that need to have a symmetry precurses.
