Aim of this work is to study life time stability mechanisms of surface modified nanoparticle-stabilized foam. Adding oppositely charged surfactant to hydrophilic silica nanoparticle leads to variation in hydrophobicity of nanoparticles because of adsorption of surfactant on nanoparticle’s surface. Nanoparticle-surfactant (NPS)-stabilized foam generated by using Ross-Miles method and foam decay rate was recorded every five minute and investigated theoritically. It was found in low adsorption of surfactant on nanoparticle, foam life initially dominated by surfactant and then controlled by nanoparticles. Stability of NPS-stabilized foam is much greater than surfactant stabilized foam (more than twice). However foam ability of surfactant stabilized foam is higher than NPS-stabilized foam
