“Siaset-name” is one of the most important sources on the history of the Seljuk Empire, headed by Oguz origin dynasty, in the person of successively occupying the throne of the Sultans the great Seljuks - Togrul-bek (1038-1063), Alp-Arslan (1063-1072) and Malik-Shah (1072-1092). In its essence, “Siaset-name” is the product of long-standing practice of the great thinkerNizam Al-Mulk.It is difficult not to agree with the opinion of researchers who call this work an “acute political document”, since it largely consists of political and palace events took place at that time, based on which the author put forward well-founded conclusions and recommendations. It would not be an exaggeration if we say that indeed the work of Nizam Al-Mulkis the first treatise in the Muslim world that contains the theory of the formation of a state governance based on democratic principles. After all, in the “Siaset-name” for the first time after the establishment of Islamthere is talk about the decentralization of power, which to some extent contradicts the form of governance in the states of that time. Moreover, the author gracefully reveals the problem of appointing officials to high posts, thus indicating that this is a decisive moment in the stable existence of any state. The uniqueness of this work is that the developed theory of Nizam Al-Mulk remains relevant to date.In addition, probably, in this connection, “Siaset-name” nowadays is the handbook of many heads of states and researchers in the field of public administration theory.
