Issues of Ethnic Policy in the Writings of Nizam-ul-Mulk

Seljuk Empire occupied a large territory in Asia Minor, the Caucasus, the middle East and Central Asia. These territories were inhabited by numerous peoples (Iranians, Turks, Arabs, Jews, Greeks, Georgians, Armenians, etc.) who spoke different languages and professed different religions. That is why the issues of ethnic policy were so relevant in this state. In the work of Nizam-ul Mulk Siyasat-name a significant place is given to the relationship between different peoples and tribes, especially in chapters 24, 25, 26. But in many other chapters, much attention is paid to ethnic policy issues. The report will describe such aspects of the problem as: relations between peoples; relations between tribes; relations between religions; public administration taking into account the ethnic factor.
