In this paper a new interleaved high step-up dc-dc converter is proposed. The coupled inductors, voltage multiplier cell (VMC) and series capacitor techniques have been combined to obtain the high voltage gain without operating at extreme duty ratio. Also, the voltage multiplier cell work as a passive clamp circuit. The energy stored in the leakage inductance is recycled to the VMC capacitors, which alleviates a large voltage spike across the main switches and improves efficiency. In this converter, the voltage stresses across the switches are greatly lower than the output voltage. Therefore, the cost, conduction and turn on losses can be reduced due to utilizing low voltage MOSFETs with low on-resistance. In addition, interleaved structure reduces the input current ripple. The operating principles and performance analysis of the proposed converter are presented in detail. Simulation results, which have been implemented via ORCAD, are presented to validate the performance of this converter.
