Abstract—In this paper, a structure for DC-DC converters
with soft-switching capability is introduced and completely
analyzed. In this structure, by adding some auxiliary
components, soft-switching condition is provided for both
switch’s turn-on and turn-off. Furthermore, the reverse
recovery problem of the power diode has been solved
completely. In this paper, at first, this structure is introduced
and it’s operational modes are illustrated completely. Finally,
in order to prove the claimed advantages, a 80W sample of this
converter is simulated in PSCAD software and the results are
investigated. In addition, a 80W experimental prototype is
built and the soft-switching waveforms are presented.
