توسعه پايداركشاورزي و گذاراز روند سنتي به مدرن بدون ايجاد تحولاتي بنيادين دركشاورزي وبدون كمك مروجين ممكن نيست. تجربيات كشورهاي توسعه يافته نشان مي دهد كه كاربرد فناوري هاي نوين در عرصه كشاورزي نه تنها موجب افزايش عملكرد محصولات كشاورزي خواهدشد، بلكه موجب تأمين نياز و حفظ امنيت غذايي در آنها مي گردد . تكنولوژي هاي پيشترفته فناوري هاي سنجش از دور، مهندسي ژنتيك، روبات، هواپيماهاي بدون سرنشين و كشت عمودي بدون خاك ازجمله مهمترين نوآوري هايي هستند كه در كشاورزي مدرن امروزه، به عنوان راهكارهاي اساسي براي حفظ امنيت غذايي بشر بوسيله مروجين تحصيل كرده ومتخصص مطرح مي شود .كه هدف اين مقاله، ارائه يك چهارچوب توصيفي و كاركردي از نقش فرآيند ارتباطاتي ترويج در توسعه پايدارو بويژه چالش هاي پيش روي آن در اين موضوع ازطريق كاربرد تكنولوژي هاي جديد دركشاورزي در قرن جديد مي باشد و سعي دارد با توجه به تحولات شگرف جهاني درفن آوري، اقتصاد و كشاورزي، جايگاه مناسب ترويج كشاورزي را در برخورد با اين چالش ها و نقش آن را در توسعه پايدار بيان كند .
