An Overview of modern technology features of Butia 2.5MTPA Pelletizing plant, Kerman. Iran.

This paper introduces the modern pelletizing plants, commissioned in 2018, including process outlines and the environmental achievements. The plant is located in Butia Steel complex, covering an land area of 600hectares,45km away from Kerman international airport.Bisco steel developed the pelletizing plant based on Chain Grate –Rotating Kiln-Annular Cooler technology. The design scale of project is 2.5MTPA oxide pellet, being raw material to 2MTPA direct reduction steel plant by 160MVA Electric Arc Furnace method. Butia Steel Complex is a modern integrated giant steel plant covering all main equipment and ancillaries from gas,water,electricity, raw material handling of 2,5MTPA Pelletizing to 2MTPA DRI steel product, including infrastructures for final product storing, customer road and Railway transportation facilities.
