Mobile sources as a main source of urban air pollution accounts for about 72% of total air pollution in Tabriz. IVE emission model and AERMOD dispersion model, as a logical solution to deal with problems such as the costliness and impossibility of the measurement process, were used for assessing the amount of pollutant emissions from taxi fleet of Imam Khomeini Street – Tabriz and their dispersion. CO2, CO, CH4 and NOx pollutants have the highest emission from this fleet due to major share of light duty vehicles in the fleet. Driving pattern in this street and emission concentration of each vehicle model were also examined. Frequent acceleration changes, low speed, old technologies and high mileage increase vehicles emission concentration and privilege wind carries the pollutants emitted from this street to the south west part of street. Based on obtained results policy makers in relevant organizations could make proper deceisions to confronte with air pollution which emitted from the proposed fleet.
