Intact dried sugarcane bagasse was undergone co-pyrolysis with waste heavy paraffin in presence and absence of HgY-A catalyst and effects of addition of paraffin and catalyst on the distribution of chemicals in the produced bio-oil and bulk yield of bio-oil were investigated at 600 oC. Results show that the bulk yeild of bio-oil is the highest for co-pyrolysis of bagasse and paraffin (about 52.22 %) in absence of catalyst and the lowest in catalytic co-pyrolysis of the mixture (about 34.15%). In addition, the experimental results showed that the utilization of Hg-Y-A catalyst leads to reduced oxygenated compounds and increased hydrocarbon components of the produced bio-oil in co-pyrolysis of bagasse and waste heavy paraffin.
