Co supported on CeO2-SiO2 catalyst were synthesized and the effect of calcination temperature was investigated on the textural properties of the catalysts and employed the samples in the catalytic CO oxidation. The powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption (BET) and pore size distribution (BJH) techniques were used for characterization of the prepared samples. The results showed that changes in the calcination temperature have a significant impact on the surface area, pore volume, pore size distribution, crystalline phases and the catalytic activity. Increasing the calcination temperature decreased the specific surface area and increased the crystallinity of the particles and generally increased the catalytic activity.
