Membrane bioreactor (MBR) has a microfiltration membranes for the separation of suspended matter. Todays, it is widely used in treatment plant. The purpose of this pilot-scale study was to evaluate the efficiency of a MBR used for flour products wastewater. The feed was collected from three sources including sewage input, inside the aerobic bioreactor and the final disposal. The MBR consisted of a plate type membrane module made of polyvinyl de fluoride. The maximum COD removal rate was 9000-5000 mg / l and 95% of the swege was approximately treated. It was also observed that the effluent turbidity was 3 NTUs in best condition. It was concluded that MBR works as an advanced technology for wastewater reuse of this factory.
