Due to the low solubility of some pharmaceuticals in the body, polymer carieers are used to increase their solubility. Therefore. it is necessary to know the solubility of drugs in polymers. Here, the SAFT-VR equation of state is used to predict the solubility of indomethacin and artemisinin in poly(ethylene glycol) with molecular weights of 400, 6000 and 35000 g/mol with the absolute deviation of 1.525%. Also, the solubility advantage parameter defined as the ratio of drug solubility in polymer rich phase, caused by the phase separation in polymer and amorphous drug solution, to the drug solubility in crystaline form in the polymer is predicted successfully.
