In this study strong nano cation exchange resin based on Styrene–Divinyl Benzene by sulphonation of synthesized nano copolymer of polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS-DVB) which was prepared by a temperature controlling conventional emulsion polymerization was synthesized and was characterized .as we known increase of reaction temperature causes the decrement of particle size distribution however, if the reaction temperature exceed on optimum level, reaction in polymerization goes towards gel formation, a temperature equivalent to 37.5◦C was obtained as the suitable operation temperature in atmospheric pressure. FE-SEM results show that minimum size distribution of particles prepared in optimized reaction temperature was about 90nm. Ion Exchange Capacity (IEC) and Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) results of samples which were synthesized in this study at high cross linking agent (65%) showed the superior capability of sulphonation (5.5 meq/g) as well as good thermal and mechanical resistant.
