Performance of two types of commercial activated clays in the adsorption process of olefins from aromatic streams is reported. These two types of clay were characterized by X-ray Diffraction, X-ray Fluorescence, BET specific surface area analysis and Pyridine FTIR spectra. The pilot test of commercial Clays showed GZ has been more efficient than TONSIL. Characterization results confirm the superiority of GZ in removal of olefins from aromatics.
