In this paper, an experimental investigation on the effects of using a SiO2+Al2O3/Water Hybrid nanofluid as a coolant in a photovoltaic thermal system (PVT) from thermal efficiency viewpoint. The SiO2 and Al2O3 nanoparticles were dispersed in deionized water as base fluid by 0.35 wt% and 0.2 wt%, respectively. The two prepared suspensions were mixed together to form hybrid nanofluid. The experiments are performed on some selected days in August and September at Material and Energy Research Center (MERC). Based on the results presented in the paper, hybrid nanofluid show a better thermal performance compared to water. The results indicate that energy efficiencies for the case of hybrid nanofluid was enhanced by 42.6%, 73.6% and, 84.2% for the flow rates of 0.5, 1 and, 1.5 lit/min, repectively.
