The properties of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) by using 1- hexene as comonomer is much superior to the
properties of LLDPE prepared by using 1-butene as comonomer. Due to the importance and appliance of this
compound in our petrochemical industry, we decided to prepare the four-membered homogeneous catalyst system based
on [chromium (III) tris-(2-ethylhexanoate) (CAT), triethylaluminium (TEA), 2,5-dimethylpyrrole (2,5-DMP),
hexachloroethane (HCE)] for trimerization of ethylene. In this research the effects of TEA/CAT, DMP/CATand
HCE/CAT on the activity and the selectivity of catalyst were investigated. The activity and the selectivity of catalyst in
best state were determined respectively 14590 (g 1- hexene/ (g Cr.h)), 98%.
