In this work, the equations of state-excess Gibbs energy (EoS-GE) models were examined for prediction of
liquid_liquid equilibria (LLE) of binary mixtures at 0.1 MPa. Three binary systems containing Decane+Methanol,
Cyclohexane+Methanol and Cyclohexane+2,2,2-Trifluoroethanol (TFE) were tested using the Peng–Robinson EoS
modified by Stryjek and Vera (PRSV), and the excess Gibbs mixing rules MHV1 and MHV2, with two excess Gibbs
models: the Wilson equation modified by Tsuboka and Katayama (T–K–Wilson) and the UNIQUAC equation. The
adjustable parameters in the EoS-GE models were determined from LLE data at 0.1 MPa.
